At a Confirmation service, young people or adults affirm and renew their baptismal vows, and receive the blessings and prayers of the Bishop for strengthening with the Holy Spirit. Confirmation follows a period of preparation that involves reading, prayer and instruction, and attendance at Sunday services. Everyone who has been baptised and is a member of the congregation is encouraged to be confirmed.
